A NatEnergy portfolio company, Nubaria was established in 2003 with authorized capital of EGP 100 million and paid-in capital of EGP 20 million. The company is the market leader in the operation and maintenance of high pressure pipelines and pressure reduction stations feeding major Egyptian power plants.

Nubaria — which employs a staff of 30 — is the sole supplier of natural gas to the Nubaria power plant, one of the largest power generation projects in Egypt today. The plant has a total output of 2,250 megawatts per hour, equivalent to about 10% of all power produced by gas in Egypt, thanks to a recently added third module which has contributed an additional 750 megawatts of power generation.

Nubaria currently provides roughly 10.2 million m3 per day, transported 43 kilometers from Tanta along a 24-inch, 70-bar, high pressure steel pipeline maintained and operated by the company. Nubaria operates PRS and steel pipelines using the supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, allowing full control over every aspect of the process.

The company also operates a 24/7 emergency center to manage any issues that may arise, and patrol teams are constantly guarding the pipeline against third party intervention.
